Al-Ameen Health and Safety Guidelines

As part of Al-Ameen’s COVID-19 Level-2 re-opening preparation, we ask all community members and attenders of Masjid Al-Ameen to abide by the following guidelines. At Level 2 the following risks have been identified: Household transmission could be occurring and Single or isolated cluster outbreaks. The following guidelines have been extracted from the New Zealand COVID-19 Alert Levels Summary.

3-Step safety MASJID Guidelines

  1. Step 1 - Be healthy or Stay Home
Whether you’re having COVID-19 symptoms or not, we’re asking everyone that’s unwell, or has been in contact with anyone whose unwell to stay home, as an extra safety precaution.

  2. Step 2 - Register for Prayer Event
Before attending any Masjid events (E.g. Dhurh, Asr, Jummah, etc), you must complete the Attendance Registration Form. This is a new Government requirement to ensure contact tracing measures in the case of an outbreak are met.

  3. Step 3 - Follow the Interaction Guidelines
Understand and apply the guidelines outlined below, in terms of your attendance to the masjid:

    1. Make Wudhu at Home — To reduce use of bathroom and washing facilities, we’d appreciate that everyone comes with Wudhu.

    2. Sign in, don’t just walk in, tick your name upon arriving to the Masjid.

    3. Wash your hands when you first enter.

    4. Keep 2m distance at all times while inside the prayer hall — No handshakes or hugs.

    5. Stand in front of a free chair — Chairs will spread out in the prayer hall to indicate where you should stand for prayer, you may stand and pray.

    6. Depart safely — Again avoiding any contact including touching of surfaces.
