Al-Ameen has been in discussion with educators and parents for past several years to learn about your children’s needs, and the feedback has reiterated the need for consistency in running regular weekly classes, with committed paid teachers and a well devised educational curriculum.

The Pilot

After this consultation, Al-Ameen decided to launch a pilot of the school programme, and this trial ran for 6 weeks, with limited student enrolments targeting students of different backgrounds and different Islamic knowledge levels, and the experience and outcomes were amazing.

The LAUNCH

Alhamdulilah we are proud to announce the launch of Al-Ameen Islamic School (AIS) that will be operating three days a week on part-time basis, with classes conducted by qualified Arabic-speaking teachers.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

● Drop offs and pickups must be on time (5:30 - 7 pm). ● Parents must accompany and sign in/sign out their children during drop offs and pickups. ● Homework must be submitted in a timely manner and before the agreed due date. ● It is expected from the students to behave in a respectful manner towards teachers, assistants and other fellow students at all times. ● All children must be dressed in modest clothing. ● Please bring a water bottle and no food is allowed. ● Electronic devices (such as mobiles phones, tablets, MP3 players etc.) are strictly prohibited during class times as they distract the child from learning and may disturb others. ● Teachers will respond in the most appropriate manner to ensure the safety and well-being of the child and will contact the parents at the earliest possible opportunity (eg. in case of fire or earthquake, the child might have to leave the premises with their teachers). ● Please pay $65 per student per month and $50 dollars for the set of books for each level (Each level has 5 books) to: Al-Ameen Islamic Development New Zealand Bank Name: Kiwibank Account: 38-9017-0648533-04 Reference: AIS then initial of first name and last name For example: AIS-AH (ALAMEEN Islamic School - Ali Hassan)
