Al-Ameen comprises of a number of sub-committees that undertake day-to-day activities and long term planning. Each committee is responsible to undertake the planning and execution of events and activities inline with the Trust’s goals and objectives.
Sisters Affairs
SUB-COMMITTEE
The sub-committee is comprised of the following:
Noha Khalil ( Lead ).
Purpose
To engage and connect with Muslim women in our community and provide for the specific needs of sisters in our community, by creating a space that is safe and welcoming for worship and sisterhood.
To promote a sense of belonging for sisters in the community.
To help create more opportunities for sisters to get involved, through organizing and facilitating events & activities (educational, spiritual and social) that will be of benefit to all age groups.

Education & School
Purpose
To develop a holistic education plan, and to promote educational projects or activities to help the younger Muslim generation to grow with Al-Ameen.
To coordinate the running of Sunday School and ensure it caters to the needs of the younger Muslim generation in the community.
To liaise with the coordinator of Al-Ameen Islamic School (AIS) and help in the day to day running of the school.

Logistics & Maintenance

The sub-committee is comprised of the following:
Ashraf Zaman ( Lead ).
Purpose
To coordinate all matters regarding day to day maintenance of Al-Ameen current premises.
To keep track of supply and material inventories for Al-Ameen logistics.
To develop maintenance plans and follow up on their implementation.
To help delegate maintenance tasks to the rest of the team, and find relevant vendors and service providers.

Dawah & New Muslims
SUB-COMMITTEE
The sub-committee is comprised of the following:
Farook Khan ( Lead ).
Purpose
To promote Islam as per constitution of Alameen.
To raise awareness about Islam to New Zealanders.
To raise awareness about Islam in cooperation with various corporates and NGOS.
To promote Islam by creating various activities for Al-Ameen.
To raise awareness about Islam by inviting our non-Muslim brothers and sisters to our programs and also by tailoring specific programs for them.

Zakah & Charity
SUB-COMMITTEE
The sub-committee is comprised of the following:
Kieran Shanahan ( Lead ), Dr Musab Hassan, Farook Khan, Dr Djavlonbek Kadirov, Mubin Shaikh, and Sh Khaled Said.
Purpose
Management and distributions of funds relating to Zakaah, and Charitable Donations. Other objectives of the sub-committee include: Food bank distribution, Ramadan distribution, and Funeral services.
The sub-committee meets monthly to discuss Zakaah, donation, and any other requests. Funding for Zakaah and Donations is from the Al-Ameen Bank Account No 38-9017-0648533-03. It is the responsibility of the sub-committee to manage the funds in this account and distribute the funds in accordance with guidelines in this document.
